Russian Through Film: «Ирония Судьбы» (on demand)
One of the most popular Soviet films, the 1976 classic «Ирония судьбы, или С лёгким паром!» (The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!) is a rom-com worth seeing, and a fun introduction to authentic Russian films.

The first session will look at excerpts from the film, examine the background and context, and introduce key themes and vocabulary. Between sessions, your task will be to watch the full film. The second session will then give you the chance to discuss what you’ve seen and test how well you have understood it.
The course comprises two 1.5-hour sessions which will be scheduled to suit you and you can participate individually, or as a small group of 2 or 3 friends at the same level.
