Russian through film: «Ирония Судьбы»

One of the most popular Soviet films, the 1976 classic «Ирония судьбы, или С лёгким паром!» (The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!) is still regularly watched and enjoyed over the New Year period. Join us to find out why it is still so popular!

The first lesson will look at excerpts from the film, examine the background and context, and introduce key themes and vocabulary.

During the week between lessons, your task will be to watch the full film. The second lesson will then give you the chance to discuss what you’ve seen and test how well you have understood it.
